Was scrolling through movie recommendations and saw the synopsis for "Superintelligence". It was interesting. Sounded like it would be a dark sci-fi comedy based around the concept of artificial intelligence and how it could eventually evolve to be something terrifying, so I looked up the trailer and found... Well, I haven't been this disappointed in a long time. The synopsis I read was: "When an all-powerful Superintelligence chooses to study the most average person on Earth, Carol Peters, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. As the A.I. decides to enslave, save or destroy humanity, it’s up to Carol to prove that people are worth saving." I guess this is my fault for being optimistic.

This is not an accurate description of superintelligence. This is not realistic. A mere human can't change the mind of an superintelligent agent. This is only plausible if the superintelligent agent has been given the objective of making a moderately good movie.
